Faculty and Staff

Our ICSU staff are citizens of numerous countries. We are all Christians, dedicated to teaching children from a Biblical Worldview perspective. We are, by nature, nurturing and caring towards students.

The faculty of ICSU is comprised of certified teachers that are passionate about their work. Teachers are dedicated to the success of their students. All hold at least a bachelor’s degree, and many hold a master’s degree. Our average teachers’ and administration tenure is about seven years, which is longer than many other international schools around the world.

The ICSU administration consist of the Head of School, Principal, and Business Manager. Others who are an important part of the administration team is the School Counselor, Technology Director, Athletic Director, Member Care Director, and Office Administrative Assistants.

I'm Dr. Dave Baniszewski, serving this year as the new head of school for ICSU. I have served in US private, Christian schools and international schools for 44 years as a teacher, coach, secondary principal, and head of school. Before coming to ICSU, I served for two years as head of school for Prishtina High School in Kosovo, and previous to that, I served as high school principal at Yongsan International School of Seoul for five years. I have been a part of the NICS network of schools for the past nine years.

It is a joy to teach internationally and a special call that the Lord bestows upon those who are willing to go. I thoroughly enjoyed serving at Christian schools in the states, but in these past nine years I have found that there is something special about international Christian education that makes it uniquely challenging and rewarding. The diversity of country, environment, culture, and community opens avenues of education and relationship that create a richer and fuller life experience for both students and educators. I look forward to both developing and enjoying that here at ICSU.

On the personal side of life, I live here in Uijeongbu with my wife, Heidi, and we have two adult children and one grandson in the states. Our family covers a good deal of the globe with us in Korea, our son in Seattle, and our daughter and grandson in Baltimore. We look forward to many fruitful, productive, and rewarding years here in Uijeongbu.

This is my 12th year working with Network of International Christian Schools. I served for six years at Bandung Alliance Intercultural School in Bandung, Indonesia as the English Language Development Coordinator. In 2018, I moved to Brasilia International School, where I served as the Secondary Principal for a year and a half. In January 2020, I moved to ICSU, once again serving as English Language Development Coordinator.

During my time with NICS I've had the opportunity to teach all grade levels and several subjects including Earth science, Bible, and English Language Arts. I've also had the privilege of coaching soccer and cross country, leading numerous student trips, and serving as the student government association advisor.

I am excited to step into the role of Principal at ICSU this year and hope to use my unique experiences to serve God and our school community
